3D 模型？Google Earth？
Google 的 SketchUp 可以很方便地创建3D模型。两个版本，Google SketchUp 免费，目前只有 Windows 版，5.0.245，Mac 版本马上就会发布；SketchUp Pro 5 需要付费，$495 。不过，来回转悠了一下，在 Support 部分的 General Product Questions 里，有个很有意思的问题 免费版和Pro有什么区别 What is the difference between SketchUp 5 and SketchUp Pro 5? 答案是: 他们是一样的 They are the same。哈哈－－其实区别不是在技术和功能上，是 Pro 版本允许进行商业应用。
如果只是个 3D 建模软件就没啥意思了，恐怕大多数人也用不上，SketchUp 真正好玩的地方在于其可以输出到 Google Earth 。从 Google Earth 查看模型不需要装 SketchUp。Google 专门建立了 3D Warehouse 网站，可以下载和搜索已经创建的模型，从南加州大学的小楼到白宫都有。用这个 3D Warehouse network link 开始哈。
要说不好地方嘛，就是图形看上去简陋了点儿。
