NTT Software 计划在12月推出一个面向零售商的促销服务系统，One to One History Analysis / RFID tag solution。是的，就是最热门的RFID。
商家们要做的是把商品和货架都贴上RFID标签－－这样顾客手中的购物篮就可以识别被放进自己肚子里的商品了，当然，这些购物篮可是装备了RFID阅读器的Smart baskets～～
顾客往篮子中放入一件商品，购物篮就读取商品的RFID标签并将数据发送到服务器，后者会根据这些信息进行购物历史分析；顾客在商场里转悠时，篮子还会解读货价上的RFID标签，得到具体位置，传送到服务器，服务器计算该位置货架上的商品列表并和顾客篮子里的商品对比，由此猜测顾客正在寻找什么－－之后就是向顾客发出提示了 ;-)
由于购物篮有位置识别功能，这个系统不仅可以提示顾客相关商品，还能对商店里其他位置上的东西进行促销。由于有每个购物者的购物历史做参考，系统能越来越精确地根据个人的喜好进行商品推荐－－买卖双方都喜欢的局面。
NTT的系统预计价格27万美元，包括软件，数据库，服务器以及实施开销，不过那些精明的篮子和RFID标签要单独出售。这种商场在美国和日本都已经出现。美国的稍有不同，Stop & Shop 正在其23家商店里测试1000个智能购物车。顾客先把购物清单email到超市，然后就能在购物车上调出来阅读－－老美购物喜欢一买一大堆，这下不用担心忘了…－－后者的屏幕上还能提供该顾客上次购物的信息，当然自动计算车里商品的总价更是不在话下。这种购物车使用的系统由IBM开发，估计最终单价是$2000 到 $3000－－普通超市购物车单价$100－－这么贵的东东当然得有两手绝活，比如能根据个人喜好，减肥计划等给出膳食建议，引导采购～～
希望推这种车的同志不要再摔倒了，否则会让人觉得太不给如此Hight Tech的购物车面子了～～

虽然不知道客户是否会习惯并接受这种购物方式，不过，在目前这样RFID大有覆盖一切的形势下，结合炒得正热的移动支付技术，可以大致猜想以后的购物可以是全程都无需和任何人打交道，进门拿篮子，找到东西，有兴趣的话瞧瞧促销，采购完了不需要在出口排队，不需要等着挨个扫条码，不需要拿现金信用卡，不需要等着找零打小票，拎着篮子直接出门回家即可－－好比在自己储藏室探囊取物般简便……
这才叫如入无人之境。

iPod迷们使劲地要求过黑色的iPod，不过只有一些第三方改机厂商出过这样的东西－－从改车到改PC到改iPod，可以了解这个民族的性格，从高考到足球到国际政治，也可以看出一个国家的本事－－上面是Colorware的作品，黑焦版第4代iPod（这名儿是我说的，见笑见笑），不得不承认，做工确实有两下子。
不过好像血统问题一直不肯被放过，对黑色版iPod的要求仍然甚嚣尘上－－更何iPod mini都有了那么多彩色的版本，偏偏没个黑色，你存心气俺还是怎的！？－－所以Apple下月将对此作出回应－－不过不一定是用你想象的方式。
新的黑色iPod将作为special U2 edition发布，除了颜色外，每个iPod将预装U2的新专辑 How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb－－这名儿，似乎有点太适合新iPod了……
这支爱尔兰乐队的一些老歌也将收录进新品黑色iPod中。
预计这些U2 iPod于11月23号发布。

前一天晚上发不出短信，以为K700挂掉，换T39亦然，复以为SIM卡罢工，换卡还是毫无改观；早上又一次犯蠢－－史上第二次烧糊早餐，自嘲想想就当那是祭天；路上离公司还有3站时公交抛锚，还好坐标方位明显，气喘吁吁没有走失离散；步行到公司发现昨晚的东西build依旧没过，挫败感地覆天翻；坐下没10分钟，房东打电话说差不多了吧，这周末交房租，劳动人民如此负担才能把家安。在这残酷的瞬间，偶不禁陷入深深di郁闷思考中……
转机是，N过来说，他也碰到过路上抛锚，类似同志还有M和P，倒霉的P更是碰到过那路烂公交出车祸～～ 一车人都轻重不等受伤，老爷车配上吊司机不出事才怪，就此我大为平衡 ;-P 心情曲线由水平转为拉升的一刻发生在Y过来说他早上居然被撒水车淋到一刻，哈哈；狂笑加之程序问题一举解决，本人心理舒适指数一路走高；最后，下午发现短信的问题不在手机也不在卡，在，嗯…在中国移动！返回错误码也不说明白点，搞得人紧张死…… 呼，就这样，本人安然渡过这短暂的半衰期 ^^V
后来我回想，因为早上的坏心情遮挡了自己的眼睛，虽然抛锚，不过我有机会端详这个以前没机会仔细观察的世界，比如我看到一大群小朋友排队过马路，眼神灿烂，朝气蓬勃，唧喳喧闹的样子完全和委顿的成年人不同；我看到一个中年妇人把宠物狗交给拾垃圾的老头，抹着眼泪边走边回头，小狗使劲想冲回主人身边无奈又被绳子套着，上身和前腿高高翘起，呜咽声中一副奋争痛苦的模样……生活画卷就这么展啊展啊展开了……

这是刀枪Blue这儿介绍过的最小的机器人～～
Mini Mitter Company 和 US Army 的杰作已经问世－－可服用的微型机器人。这项成果出自Mini Mitter和United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine（USARIEM）合作的VitalSense生理监视系统，质量1.6克包着胶囊的小东西作名为Jonah，可以用无线温度传感器来检测人体情况，除了体内温度，心率和其他重要体征也可以实时而精确地取得。
吞食以后数据传输就马上开始，目的地是VitalSense Monitor，后者可以被别在腰上或者放在口袋里。胶囊的平均工作时间是2.0 ±1.5 天。正常模式下，每个VitalSense Monitor可以追踪和监控最多10个传感器，而在Medic Mode下，接受范围内的所有传感器信号都会被接纳。
VitalSense来自USARIEM的要求，后者要有个Warfighter Physiological Status Monitoring Program，这个计划强调wear and forget技术。显然这个技术有助于保护士兵的健康和安全。
在大面积应用前，VitalSense在美军特别任务部队中使用过（比如绿色贝蕾帽或者SEAL？猜的……）。
VitalSense在最近一次于Montana举行的野外测试中表现良好，real lifesaver；加拿大教练已经在今年雅典奥运会上用VitalSense帮助评估铁人三项运动员的生理状况－－看新闻了吗？北京的马拉松有人不幸中途倒下……如果有这个帮助实时监测选手身体情况，估计不至于有这样的悲剧产生……；此外，Nike也用VitalSense来检测运动衣材料的散热特性。
意大利和韩国也开发了类似的Robotic capsule，可以在你的胃里自由爬行，吃土司喝咖啡就呕吐时可以用这个探查一下原因。合作方是Sant’Anna Valdera Centre in Pontedera, Italy 和 Korean Institute of Science and Technology in Seoul, Korea。包在胶囊里长25mm直径10mm的爬虫比让人恶心又难受的内窥镜有吸引力多了。
当然，这些可以进入全身各处的机器世界的无间道主演们最好别失控，要不一旦成了流氓药丸，估计让人够呛～～

cuddletech的这篇书评给了Solaris Systems Programming很高很高（甚至是太高？）的评价，溢美之词如滔滔江水～～
作者把此书和这些著作相提并论甚至认为有超越之处：The UNIX Programming Environment [Kernighan & Pike,84], Advanced UNIX Programming [Rochkind, 85], The Magic Garden Explained [Goodheart & Cox, 94], Advanced Unix Programming [Gay, 00] (thats not a typo, there really are two books with the same name), Unix Systems Programming [Robbins & Robbins, 03], UNIX Systems Programming for SVR4 [Curry 96], and the undisputed heavy weight champ Advanced Programming in the UNIX Environment [Stevens, 92].
为了专心写书，作者Rich Teer在过去3年半中都处于unemployed状态，现在目标完成，据称他也打算出阁了～～
1248页，Prentice Hall出版。
