Can you comment on http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/35814/140/ ?
Are those your screenshots or did someone else who has the M1 just confirm exactly what you have been showing?

Can you please post screenshots of modifications to Paint or other apps? And screencast any new tutorials like network or whatever that have changed?

Do you also have any info on future builds?

  7. MrCoolio  on January 29th, 2008

I like the mail app, “Windows Vista Operating System and It’s user inteface”

  8. jj  on January 29th, 2008

Hey MrCoolio. That’d be funny if they forget to change that when it hits rtm.

    那么,你能否把计算器和写字板放出来?不是说这些程序都是基于WPF重写了吗?我想在Vista下用,把所有基于WPF重写的小程序放出来吧。

I believe that these screenshots are real but every Windows 7 m1 i have downloaded from different torrent sites havent worked, i finally managed to burn the .iso to a dvd with nero 8 but then it wouldnt show up on the disk as if it was written on the disk but there was no files in it so i think i speak for everyone who wants to try it that we only think its fake because someone is pushin an empty .iso file out there claiming it is Windows 7 M1 but if you had more screenshots and a torrent file we could download we all would be greatful. Thanks

Errr?… Is this realy windows 7 aww it looks like Vista Alot!!

  16. Yuri / Brazil  on January 30th, 2008

Cool, but… are these de breaking news about Win7? Resizing a box in explorer and a new way to fix an item at the start menu? This last one is known just since XP!

  17. fred  on January 31st, 2008

Yuri/Brazi, those aren’t everything, those are just some examples of how things are becoming better. This is only m1 anyhow, things will change a lot in the next year. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7 they show some more details about new features. However even this is nothing compared to the final version.

  18. Stocker  on January 31st, 2008

Early builds of longhorn looked a lot like Windows XP… now lets look at Vista to XP… its like Apples and Tomatoes.

So, sure, Blackcomb looks like vista… doesn’t mean it will stay like that.

  19. Alex Khristov  on February 2nd, 2008

Hey, thanks for the screenshots. I’ve read on Long’s website (istartedsomething.com) that Paint and Wordpad were re-done using WPF. Can you post screenshots of those if they look any different?

    Thanks in advance.

  20. Goiazzzzzzzzzzz  on February 6th, 2008

Acho que as telas sao verdadeiras…

  21. amj2008  on February 24th, 2008

    win7 is really vista sp2 or sp3

  22. Sharingan boy  on March 2nd, 2008

Well I know this is a fake, but can someone upload those changes in vista? I like pretty much the Control Panel and the traybar. Oh, yes
next time check the version on the “screenshot” becouse I see that it is a screenshot of Windows Vista SP1 RC :D

  23. halninekay  on March 7th, 2008

    It´s NOT fake!

  24. Windows 7  on May 28th, 2008

Since Windows 7 is build on Windows Vista it without doubt looks more like Vista than Windows 7 in the beginning. This will change with the next releases.

  25. Balend N  on May 30th, 2008

These shots are similar to Vista, but the UI will change. Also, you can see some change in the new video of the multi-touch demo.

  26. Brian  on June 12th, 2008

Well all I have to say is that I have been tracking Vista since it was LongHorn, and rescripting is fairly easy.So if anyone would care to give out a legit copy of Win 7 to verify what you are saying among your peers here then by all means. But if you’ve no proof other than your word, well alot remains to be seen. However I am fairly excited about the new O/S and cant wait till I can get my hands on the full beta for testing.

  27. Paul  on August 2nd, 2008

Pinning to start menu has been available for many years - just not with the pin. You could always drag and drop to the top

  28. Lisa  on August 31st, 2008

In principle I agree, but there are some nyuansy, which require more detailed discussions.

  29. Windows 7 Screenshots  on October 30th, 2008

Thanks for the screenshots.. I just noticed a few screenshots released by Microsoft. They looks totally different from the leaked ones. Still looks like Vista, but some improvements are visible.

    Some of them are here:

I’m waiting for the Public beta program to open. Hope it’ll fix most of the issues we have in vista now.

Всем привет! Я здесь новенький. Примите в компанию? :)
